New Memorial Salutes LGBTQ+ Service Members
On Monday 27 October, The Opened Letter was unveiled by King Charles at the National Memorial Arboretum. Created by artist Charlotte Howarth in collaboration with Abraxas Academy and Holkham Forge, the letter-carved sculpture resembling a crumpled piece of paper is a moving tribute honouring military personnel affected by the historic LGBTQ+ ban.
A Toast to the Trees
On Sunday 28 September, Houghton Lodge Gardens blossomed into an apple-lover’s paradise, bursting with colour, laughter, and the sweet scent of autumn for the annual Apple Day celebration. Over 200 visitors explored the gardens and the Fluvii exhibition, joining in a day packed with lively, hands-on activities that celebrated nature, community and creativity.

On the evening of Friday 19 June, Houghton Lodge Gardens came alive with creativity and celebration for the much-anticipated opening of Fluvii — an exhibition of over 50 sculptures by 16 exceptionally talented artists.
