About us
Fluvii was conceived by Sarah Rancans with Sophie Busk, owner of Houghton Lodge Gardens in Hampshire, and local stone carver Zoë Wilson. Born from a shared vision, Fluvii seeks to connect and collaborate with artists, fostering a new community of highly skilled sculptors, creating opportunities to showcase their extraordinary talents through exhibitions and events.
In the summer of 2025, this vision came to life with our inaugural exhibition at Houghton Lodge, a Grade II listed ‘Cottage Orné’, framed by ancient trees and sweeping lawns that lead down to the famous River Test. The flowing landscape of the house, gardens, and river provided the perfect setting, where contemporary sculpture could evoke a sense of peace and belonging for visitors, collectors, and art lovers alike. Many of the exhibiting artists are traditionally trained with hammer and chisel and are past students or tutors at the City & Guilds of London Art School, with experience spanning stone masonry, historic architectural carving and letter cutting.
Fluvii lives on beyond its first exhibition, as an online art gallery — a creative force at the heart of future events and exhibitions, and as the nucleus of a growing community of artists and collectors. Derived from the Latin for ‘flows’, fluvii embodies the fluidity of both nature and creativity, an ever-evolving experience to be shared by art lovers and collectors.
