Patrick Bull (b. 1988)

Patrick Bull works from his studio on the Hampshire-Wiltshire border, surrounded by the rolling downland and local nature spots such as the ancient Savernake Forest. After studying Painting and Drawing for a Fine Art degree at university, he went on to spend over a decade working at a fine art foundry. It was here that he developed a broad skill set for creating sculpture. He now creates his own bronze sculptures, working on the pieces from initial conception through to patina. He has always enjoyed watching wildlife, especially birds, and is fascinated by their variety of characters, shapes and colours. Determined to capture our feathered friends' rare and fleeting beauty, his works aim to freeze a single moment observed in nature. Patrick hand-finishes his own bronzes and creates limited-edition pieces cast in foundry bronze and bronze resin. He exhibits regularly around the UK, including outdoor shows at Newby Hall, The Cotswold Sculpture Park, Delamore Arts, National Trust - Avebury and a solo show at King John's House in Romsey.
