Amelia has a first-class degree in textile design from the University of Edinburgh. She grew up at Houghton, her family home, surrounded by the beautiful garden offering inspiration at every turn. It is a fabulous place for a fabric designer to enjoy and create new things. She loves working with watercolours because they are a gentle medium that suits the relaxed nature of the garden. Many of Amelia’s illustrations are transformed into fabric designs for Nicholas Herbert, where she works as Creative Director, or for Punch of London, her new company that specialises in luxury printed clothing.
