Cutting Cheese: Sculpture, Craft and Performance

Following the successful Fluvii x Paxton & Whitfield Jermyn Street edition, Cutting Cheese: Sculpture, Craft and Performance exhibition is touring to the Bath shop. The live event is on Friday 12 June, featuring Zoë Wilson carving a Cheddar Pounder and a cheese talk by Hazel Cross. In the window of Paxton & Whitfield — Britain’s oldest cheesemongers — stone carver Zoë Wilson will transform cheese into a visually striking geometric sculpture. Witness her at work from 12–1.30pm, then join a cheese talk with Hazel Cross and sample some of the cheeses.

Celebrating cheese as both a material and a cultural artefact, this multidisciplinary project blends demonstration and performance in a playful exploration of craft, skill, and creativity through an unexpected medium.

Commissioned specially for the Fluvii x Paxton & Whitfield partnership, sculptures by Ben Russell and Roya Bahram, letter carvings by Charlotte Howarth and paintings by Caroline Hall will be exhibited in the Bath shop from 28 May – 25 June 2026.  All the works including Zoë Wilson’s Audere, are available for purchase via Fluvii. We hope to see you there!
