Inspired by the Liberty Cap — the UK’s most common magic mushroom — Triptych explores the delicate balance between nature and imagination. Interested in the potential of psilocybin for mental health, Ben began spotting these fungi on dog walks near his old studio, which sparked the inspiration for a series of stone carvings. Though rooted in the distinctive form of the Liberty Cap, with its conical cap and slender stem, the sculptures could just as easily evoke any young fruiting mushroom body, capturing a more universal essence of fungal growth.
