Exhibition

20 June ̶ 30 September 2025

This summer, Houghton Lodge is home to Fluvii, an exhibition featuring the work of 16 talented artists, each exploring a range of media including stone, clay and metal. All of the exhibits respond thoughtfully to the unique character of Houghton Lodge, with its breathtaking views from the house and the famous River Test that meanders through its stunning gardens.

At the heart of the exhibition is Fluvii, the Latin for ‘flow’, a title that captures the harmony between the natural landscape and the creative energy of the artists. This theme reflects a shared sense of movement and connection, echoing the currents of the river and the creative energy of the artists.

Over 50 original artworks will be on display, each one available for purchase, with prices ranging from £100 to £18,000. Fluvii is a celebration of the creative and natural currents that converge in this unique landscape on the River Test, open from 20 June to 30 September 2025 at Houghton Lodge. Entry to the exhibition is included with standard garden admission.

Houghton Lodge

Fluvii is part of a summer program of events at Houghton Lodge, a Grade II* listed ‘Cottage Orné’ surrounded by mature trees and lawns sweeping down to the banks of the famous River Test. Arguably one of the most beautiful privately owned gardens to visit in Hampshire, the Lodge combines historic architecture with stunning natural beauty. Enjoy both formal and informal gardens, and over 15 acres (6 hectares) of meadows and walks along the picturesque River Test. Meet resident alpacas, the small flock of Hebridean sheep, and the resident ‘snorting’ topiary dragon. Freshly prepared light lunches, cream teas and homemade cakes are served with teas and coffees in The Glass House Tea Room. For more information, visit https://houghtonlodge.co.uk/
